1. Download Movie Maker here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=D6BA5972-328E-4DF7-8F9D-068FC0F80CFC&displaylang=enhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/308464
(You might need to search for an earlier version depending on what version of Windows you're using...you can google to find what you need.)

These are the kinds of files Move Maker supports:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308464

If you do not have one of the files listed in the link...but you have, say a Quicktime movie, you can pay to convert it here:
http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/

2. OPEN Movie Maker and go to FILE-IMPORT MEDIA ITEMS. Browse to find your video clips, audio, pic, etc. and import.

3. Drag the clips to your timeline.

4. Hit SPLIT to make a cut in your clip, delete what you're not using, or drag it somewhere else in your timeline.

5. You can make titles in TITLES & CREDITS

6. Hit the play button to see what you've done.

7. To export your movie, go to FILE -PUBLISH & follow prompts.
